If you had looked at my life growing up, you would have seen an incredibly athletic girl. I had no interest in sports, and the ones I tried were not my cup of tea. I found CrossFit shortly before I became pregnant with my first child and for some reason, it’s the only organized form of exercise I’ve ever been able to stick to. I got away from it while I had my two babies and they were young, but I was eager to get “back in the game” as soon as possible. It was as though a part of me was missing! I’ve been through a whole host of ups and downs - from injury to mental roadblocks. The biggest thing I have learned is that I’m my own worst critic and I’m the only one standing in my way. My biggest advice would be to get out of your own head and not let the number on the scale or the weight on the bar dictate the athlete that you are or will become.

Once I did that, I felt as though I could do anything I committed to accomplishing.

I love teaching and I love CrossFit - this allows me to have a platform to combine two things that I love. What’s more, I enjoy being on the journey alongside the members of the gym and watching them grow stronger, both mentally and physically. There's nothing better than being there to celebrate a win with someone!!
